The Quick Gloves and Scarf come in multiple sizes.
The gloves come in regular + large depending on the circumference around the forearm, and the scarf come in regular + long.
Both use less than a ball of Color Theory yarn, so not only are they quick, they’re also perfect for an affordable gift to make others.
DESCRIPTION
The Quick Gloves and Scarf was born from the idea of “what could be a last minute gift you could make and give to someone”?
I am notorious for waiting until the last minute to get or make gifts, so this knit pattern was basically born to save my future self.
Next time I wait until the last minute to make a gift, I know I’m going to make this!
The gloves are knit flat and then seamed together leaving a hole for the thumbhole, so you won’t have to deal with double pointed needles, so it makes for a quick knit.
The cuff of the gloves are made in a different color than the main body of the gloves, or you can make one glove one color and the other glove the contrasting color.
I had fun messing around with different color combos!
The scarf has an icord edging, so the color not in use is able to be carried and hid inside the icord, which means there are hardly any ends to weave in!
If you would like to increase or decrease the length of the scarf, it is written to increase every 6th row, so just adjust accordingly.
The gloves can also easily be made to be longer/shorter since it is worked flat and seamed.

The Quick Gloves and Scarf knitting pattern uses Color Theory yarn.
Color Theory yarn is a 100% acrylic yarn and is machine washable and dryable. The color lineup is perfection, and I love all the shades offered in this yarn. You really can’t go wrong!
If you’ve noticed, I’ve really been on a Color Theory kick recently.

DIFFICULTY
The Quick Gloves and Scarf knit pattern is considered Beginner+ because you need to know how to decrease and increase for the scarf.
However, the gloves are considered Beginner because there is no shaping and it uses a 2×2 ribbing and stockinette stitch and that is it!

But be sure to follow along with the pattern while watching the video for the written instructions.

- US 8/5.0mm 16” knitting needles

There are 2 different gauges for this pattern because there are two different stitches used; garter stitch for the scarf and stockinette for the gloves.
FINISHED SIZE
The gloves come in 2 sizes: regular + large.
The scarf also comes in 2 sizes: regular + long.

Make sure you twist A around B by bringing B underneath A at the start of every even row to hide the unused color in the I-cord.

Using the mattress stitch, seam the side to m.
