BEFORE YOU START
You need to be familiar with how to change colors using the “yarn under technique”. To do so, here is a great blog post that describes how to do this. You can also view the video below.
You also need to make sure you carry the non-dominant yarn along when switching colors and crochet over the color not used. Gently tug the non-dominant color to minimize show-through and make sure to carry your non-dominant color on the wrong side of your work.
K, let’s do this!

This is adorable! Could you please provide a pattern for one bunny?
This is adorable!! Could you please provide a pattern for one bunny?
Thank you! And yes, I have plans on making an individual bunny! 🙂
Have you been using the "yarn under technique" throughout the entire project, or just for changing colors?
Good question! I only do yarn unders for when I am changing colors in tapestry or intarsia crochet. 🙂
You say to carry the main color but then a picture has individual balls. Do you carry the opposite color throughout or use bobbins?
For this project, I did bobbins. 🙂 It depends on how well the colors hide for when I will carry and when I will not.
Hello, I love your pattern for this pillow, so easy to follow. I used #4 yarn and a #5 hook. My pillow was much bigger then yours, almost the size of a standard bed pillow. Do you know what I did wrong. My bunnies seem long and thin, while yours are much cuter.
Sometimes that happens with different yarns used that vary slightly in thickness. Also are you carrying the other color behind the bunnies? That increases the height of a pillow. I did not carry the color I wasn’t using for this pattern. I made individual bobbins for each color section. Hope that helps!
Can you explain how you used the bobbins instead of carrying the color through. Thanks
