I first came across the brand King of Christmas several years ago after seeing an Instagram account that I trust post about how much she liked her new Christmas tree she got.
At the time I didn’t need a new Christmas tree, but I kept on seeing them pop up everywhere on Instagram, and I loved all the different types of Christmas trees King of Christmas had.
Fat forward a few years, and our Walmart 50% off after-season Christmas tree stopped working at the beginning of the Christmas season.
After wrapping Christmas lights around it last year and some of them not matching in color, I made Mr. Nooks promise that we could get a new Christmas Tree for 2024.
When King of Christmas reached out, I already knew and recognized the brand, so I was excited to try their tree.
Disclaimer: I did get gifted this tree, but I am not getting any compensation for this review. These are my honest thoughts about King of Christmas trees.
I chose the 7 foot King Noble Fir with Lights, which you can find HERE.
I didn’t want anything that was too busy or showy. Simple, minimalism is what I wanted in a Christmas Tree, so that’s why I chose King of Christmas’ King Noble Fir.
I was pleasantly surprised with all that came in the box.
It had:
- The Tree Stand
- A Huge Storage Bag
- Protective Gloves
- The Tree (duh)
What I appreciated most from what they included with the tree is the large, sturdy, protective storage bag.
There is nothing more frustrating than trying to shove the Christmas Tree back into a tiny box that it came in.
When setting up the tree, I always take the time to fluff and shape new Christmas trees to help make it look more realistic. To then have to squish and squeeze it back into a tiny box at the end of the season is frustrating because then you have to redo the process at the beginning of the next Christmas season.
With the King of Christmas trees, they give a storage bag that is plenty big enough to easily disassemble the tree and put it in the bag.
No strategic placement of where each piece needs to go to make it fit.
And no crushing the branches out of shape! (best part)
I also loved the protective gloves that came with it because it gave me confidence to take the time and really shape the tree to make it look realistic.
The gloves come up fairly far on my arm, so I don’t have to worry about getting scratched when fluffing up the tree.
So let’s go over some common questions with artificial Christmas Trees:
SIZE
I have 9′ ceilings. I wanted to make sure that I bought a tree that filled my space appropriately.
From what I read online, for 9 feet ceilings, a 7 foot to 7.5 foot Christmas tree is ideal.
I have enough space to put a Christmas tree topper on my Christmas tree, but it will not be scrapping the ceiling.
The 7 foot lit King Noble Fir measures exactly as they specify on their website. 7 feet by 50 inches wide.
MATERIAL
The King of Christmas King Noble fir tree is made with “premium materials” as stated on their website.
I could not find out what specifically was used to create the artificial branches, but it does not look like it is cheaply made.
I hardly had any needles fall out as I roughly handled the tree when assembling and shaping.
I also used the tree as a backdrop for photos I was taking for my Joyful Stockings and Cheerful Stockings I made.
I was very impressed at the sturdiness of the tree and found no problems with it.
REALISM
Like I mentioned before, I wanted a tree that was minimalistic with branches and simple. I didn’t want one that was too full or big.
The King Noble FIr looks very realistic to me. King of Christmas also did a good job with placement of the lights and hiding the strings of the lights.
The branches are able to flair out in a very realistic manner, and the artificial needles don’t feel like cheap plastic.
PRELIT OR UNLIT
I chose to get the pre-lit artificial tree, so I wouldn’t have to deal with trying to stringing it every year.
I am very happy with the lights on the tree, and it’s my kids favorite part.
There are 7 settings for the lights: staying on, flickering, glowing, etc.
My kids had so much fun (too much fun?) trying all the different settings and experimenting with it.
It comes with a remote and a foot pedal that can be easily used to turn the lights on and off. And you don’t have to plug different sections in. You put the three sections of the tree together and the pole has “power pole technology” to allow the lights in each section to light up. Makes it super easy!
It has 500 warm lights on it, and the bulbs are not obnoxiously big and fake looking. They are wonderfully placed on the branches without being obviously in your face.
The lighting is a home run for me.
WARRANTY
I have not personally had to deal with warranty, so I cannot say firsthand how customer service is or how their warranty actually works.
On their website it says they have a 2 year warranty.
TBD if the tree lasts the test of time. I hope I won’t have to use their warranty.
I’m hoping I can use it for several Christmases to come!
King of Christmas also has a 30-day trial, so if you want to try it out in your home, it seems like there is low risk involved doing so.
FIRE RESISTANCE
King of Christmas’ trees are also fire resistant, so that is definitely comforting.
It’s the little things that you don’t think of that are nice to hear when you’re writing a review of a product.
Overall, I am extremely happy with my King of Christmas tree!
I don’t have any complaints about it.
I would highly recommend the King of Christmas trees to anyone, specifically the King Noble Fir if you are looking for a sparse, minimalistic Christmas tree.
