YARN
The yarn used for the Cozy Collared Vest is Lion Brand Yarn Cottino yarn, which is their new yarn recently released.

I did a full yarn review (and video review!) of this yarn, and you can find it HERE.
One thing to note with this yarn is that it becomes significantly softer once blocked, and continues to with each blocking.
I already think it is soft, but some of the reviews of the yarn online say it isn’t soft, and there’s no way you could think that after it is blocked. It is very soft.
So make sure you block your tee.
If you want to stay up to date on yarn sales and when to get a good price, join my newsletter where I’ll clue you in on when there is a good sale. I love a good sale, so I want gate keep. But I also won’t spam you.
DIFFICULTY
The Easy Airy Tee is considered a Level 2 – Easy pattern.
The tee uses very simple stitches, but the reason it isn’t rated Level 1- beginner is because of the decreases for the neck shaping.
It isn’t hard, but could be overwhelming for a beginner.
But remember, there is a full video tutorial, so you can always jump to the video if you’re needing help with a section.
The stitches used for this pattern are beginner stitches. Double crochet 2 in the same stitch and then single crochet chain 1 is used for the majority of the pattern.
In my premium PDF pattern on etsy, I have several pictures to supplement the pattern.
As always, I’m happy to answer any questions!
FAQ
Is this pattern good for beginners?
While the Easy Airy Tee is rated easy, I would recommend having a little prior crochet experience before diving in, so it may not be the best fit for someone who has never picked up a hook before.
That said, if you’re fairly new to crochet and feeling adventurous, don’t let that discourage you! The premium PDF includes 10 picture aids throughout the pattern to help guide you step by step, making the Easy Airy Tee much more approachable for those still building their skills.
Can I use a different yarn?
Yes, but the gauge of the tee may be affected, so do a gauge swatch so you can meet gauge.
My favorite website to use to find good yarn substations is https://yarnsub.com/
What if my gauge is off?
Too many stitches in a 4″x4″ swatch?
→ The fabric is too tight, so you need to go up a hook size.
Too few stitches in a 4″ x 4″ swatch?
→ The fabric is too loose, so you need to go down a hook size.
Can I sell items from this crochet pattern?
Yes.

Hi Rachel, after completing the 2 panels, I realised that it is too short by about 4 inches. Do you have any suggestions on how I can lengthen them. I have not seamed the top and sides yet.
Thank you
Have you blocked it yet? It will grow in length if you block it.
You could also add a bit of length at the top, but that will make your neckline drop lower. You can add a few more rows to the collar and add a few more rows for the bottom hem, too. <3
